CRC Exam Eligibility Category R Provides New Opportunities for Certification

Category R expands certification eligibility through attainment of a post-graduate advanced certificate or degree in lieu of a second Master's degree in Counseling or Rehabilitation Counseling. Qualified individuals with advanced degrees in thirteen areas of study may be eligible to sit for the CRC Exam, providing they meet the additional coursework and employment requirements as detailed on pages 9-10 of the CRC Certification Guide.

The CRC Credential

The CRC is the premier credential among rehabilitation counselors.  Accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the CRC Certification Program ensures certificants are of good moral character, meet nationally accepted standards of quality in their practice, and have the requisite educational and professional background.  As such, the CRC credential can lead to job placements, job advancement, salary advancement, and both medical and non-medical referrals.
