Dr. Anderson received her doctorate in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a researcher and project director in the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having recently transitioned from serving as the Executive Director of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Anderson has been working in the field of rehabilitation counseling as a practitioner, policy maker, administrator, and researcher for more than 20 years. She is experienced in studying, conceptualizing, applying, and teaching knowledge translation strategies to enhance meaningful relationships among researchers, rehabilitation professionals, and community members to better understand and address relevant issues impacting individuals with disabilities. She recently served as co-principal investigator of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Evidence-Based Practice in Vocational Rehabilitation. Dr. Anderson actively serves on multiple editorial boards and is an elected board member of several national rehabilitation counseling membership organizations.
